“IRON 808” オーバードライブ エフェクターブランドKGR HARMONYと南部鉄器製造の及富が共同開発したギターエフェクターです。
筐体に南部鉄器、すなわち鋳鉄をもちいているのが特徴です。
南部鉄器の素材である鋳鉄は従来のエフェクター筐体に用いられてきたアルミに比べてずっしりと重いですが、その音色は分厚く、音圧とピッキングのレスポンスが速い特徴を持ちます。
“IRON 808” 日本人エンジニアが作った伝説の名機 "Tube Screamer" 世界中のギタリストを魅了し、素晴らしい音楽を作り続けいるこのペダルを、岩手の伝統工芸品、"南部鉄器"で筐体を作成し作り上げました。
回路は、イン・アウトのバッファーを外し、自然なレンジ幅を保持しています。
メインとなるオペアンプには、新日本無線株式会社（JRC）がオーディオIC技術を結集した "MUSES 01" を採用。
オペアンプの高い解像度ながら柔らかい音色と、南部鉄器のレンジが広くストレートな押し出し強い音色が掛け合わさり、唯一無比の音色となっています。
●KGR harmony 代表者プロフィール 福嶋 圭次郎 1986.12.27 神奈川県横浜市出身。
中学時代にエフェクターの奥深さに触れ、高校卒業後、エフェクターを製作するために東京電機大学で電子工学を専攻。
独自の研究を10年以上に渡って重ね、その研究過程でエフェクターの筐体が音色に影響を与えると着目。
新たな素材を探して2019年4月から日本一周の旅へ出る。
以前から興味のあった岩手県の南部鉄器工房 株式会社 及富へ訪問。
鋳鉄への関心を深め南部鉄器エフェクターの開発を決意し、2019年7月から及富と共同開発を始める。
2019年11月、合同会社福嶋圭次郎を設立。
12月に南部鉄器エフェクター “あられ”を発表。
2020年7月、南部鉄器エフェクター “しずく”、“IRON 808”を発表。
