これは特に小排気量ターボエンジンに多く見られるサージタンクの容量不足とスロットル直前での乱流発生に伴う効率悪化が原因となります。
ファンネルスロットルチャンバーは「容積可変サージタンク」とも呼ばれスロットル開度によってそのチャンバー容積がサージタンクにプラスされる構造です。
またスロットルとの接続部には削り出し専用ファンネルを装備し、スロットル直前のエアを加速・整流し、確実な低速トルクを発生させることで低・中回転域でのもたつきを大幅に改善します。
これらの効果はファンネルスロットルチャンバーが空燃比に物理的影響を与えることで出力アップすることを証明するもので、空燃比計測テストの結果ノーマル制御上の安全性が確認されていますので安全性と共に出力アップを体感いただけます。
